Farsighted – Hyperopia

Hyperopia is the condition in which parallel light rays are focused behind the retina (instead of on the retina) of the eye, causing nearby objects to seem blurry while far away objects are clearer.

A shortened anterior-posterior shape of the eye causes this condition.

Also known as farsightedness.

Glasses, contact lenses, and refractive laser surgery are corrective options for hyperopia.
